Ramses Lottery

Ramses found his first love of music – like everyone else – through his parents, listening to The Beatles and The Who as a kid, falling in love with the sight of vinyl spinning on the turntables in his parents’ living room.
When the 90s hit, along came the Rave revolution; the allure for the music caught him and he became captivated by the sounds of this new, fresh genre.  It didn’t take long for him to be listening to the likes of The Prodigy and SL2 almost non-stop; the sets from the likes of Fantazia, Dreamscape, Obsession were staples in his Walkman back in the day.

The vinyl was calling and he started Djing in 1993, learning the tricks of the trade and embracing all sounds at the time, from darkside, to jungle, to hardcore.  He gained his first residence in 1995 playing at a hardcore night in Norwich, playing alongside the likes of Dougal, Ramos and Sharkey.

Loving the hardcore and old skool vibe, he went on to play at Flashback Old Skool nights in Birmingham in the late 90s. As the scene moved on, his musical spectrum widened to Progressive House and Trance, Drum & Bass and Breaks – genres which he now champions today.

He started producing in 2006 and linked up with Marvellous Cain in 2012, securing releases on the 119 Yardrock Label.  He has played at events in Reading, One Time Hardcore and is an Epidemik resident.

A man who sees the sync button as something to be avoided at all costs, he is a DJ for the purists, mixing and blending in an inimitable style, combing tight beats and scratchadelic business to make you itch, along with a musical flow across a multitude of genres.

He smashes up Friday drive-times on UK Raw, playing everything from Breaks, Prog House and Trance to DnB, Jungle, Hardcore and Old Skool.
