Bean
My love for music and spinning tunes goes way back. I first started collecting Punk records in the late 70’s, by 1980 i was well in to reggae as well as other genres. My love for the DJ business came like many others in the late 80’s when acid house blew up. After a memorable night in Slough at Yikes, i went out the next day and got some turntables and a tiny little mixer. Well a long time has passed since then and i’ve been collecting choice records ever since. Eclectic would describe my record collection, from Reggae to Techno, Hip Hop to Funk and Punk to Psyche with a whole load of obscure records in between. My Main influence di wise would be Andy Weatherall, but for me sound systems are where it’s at. Jah Shaka to Aba Shanti to the new school systems like Mungo’s Hi Fi, OBF and Blackboard Jungle.
My show “Bean’s Reggae Trip” aims to bring good vibes, new and old music from the world of Reggae, Dancehall, Roots and Culture, and a heavy dose of Dub. I also like to cross the border in to Jungle, Dubstep and anything with a heavy bass!!! So if your looking for an eclectic ride through the world of Reggae and beyond, look no futher. Tune in to “Bean’s Reggae Trip” 8pm to 10pm Sunday nights. Jump on board for good vibes and supreme music.
Peace out.. Bean
